01

Who we are

NearMe Ads runs a network of Australian local-service directory sites: skip bins, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, rubbish removal and other trades. When you ask to be connected with a provider on one of our sites, this policy covers what happens with your details.

The network is operated by an Australian business. ABN available on request. Contact for anything in this policy: support@nearme-ads.com.

02

If you ask to be connected (customers)

We collect your name, your mobile number, the service you asked for and the area you asked in. That is the lot. No account, no password, no date of birth.

We use those details to do exactly two things: text you the details of the providers you asked for, and text those providers your job so they can call you back.

Your name and mobile are shared only with the providers you asked to be connected with. They are not sold, rented, swapped or added to anyone's marketing list. If you asked for one provider, one provider gets your number. If you asked for all local providers, those providers get it.

03

If you are a provider or advertiser

When you apply at our get-leads page we collect your business name, trade, mobile, the areas you cover and your email if you give one. We use them to text you jobs, set up your listing and run your membership if you take one.

Directory listings (business name, website, service blurb, areas) are built from public business listings. If a listing is yours and you want it changed or removed, email us and we do it.

If you become a paying member we also hold your billing records, because tax law says we must.

04

Text messages and STOP

Every SMS we send identifies us. The first free job we ever text a business explains who we are and why they got it.

Reply STOP to any message and your number is suppressed straight away, permanently, across the whole network. Suppression is honored before every send. If you STOP and want back in later, email us or apply again.

05

What we keep, and where

We keep lead and message records so we can show providers what they received, honor STOP, credit junk leads and meet tax obligations. We keep them no longer than those purposes need.

Data is stored with our hosting and database providers, and those providers may store it outside Australia. We do not hand your details to anyone else except the providers you asked for, or where the law requires it.

Our sites keep basic usage counts (which pages are visited). We do not run cross-web ad tracking and we do not sell browsing data.

06

Your rights

Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where the law allows. A text already sent cannot be unsent, but the records can go.

If you think we have mishandled your information, email us first and we will sort it. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Anything unclear, or want your details gone? Email support@nearme-ads.com and a person answers it.
